Duncan Davis

BSc Hons Osteopathy

Duncan trained as an Osteopath at Oxford Brookes University and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British Osteopathic Association.

Duncan’s passion for Osteopathy developed whilst working as a Sports Massage Therapist. He completed his higher diploma in massage and manipulation therapy at the Midland School of Massage & Manipulation Therapy in 2003 and enrolled on the BSc (Hons) Osteopathy at Oxford Brookes immediately after.

Duncan is very keen on trying to be as evidenced based as possible so he is able to provide the best for his patients.  He regularly reads research papers, engages in live webinars and CPD courses.  Duncan has a real interest in pain and how an understanding in pain can help a patient deal with their pain.  Duncan also enjoys teaching and has done so at Staffordshire University, working with a national Physiotherapy company providing their CPD as well as running and writing his own courses for fellow health practitioners and those in the health and fitness industry.

Outside of Osteopathy Duncan a keen rugby player as well as coaching junior rugby.  Duncan enjoys Olympic lifting, training with Kettlebells, Strength & Conditioning, basically lifting heavy s*** and improving his own mobility (usually done with weights!). With this knowledge of different exercise movements it enables Duncan to help his patients optimise their own return to health.

Duncan is a "movement optimist" and endeavours to help the patient get back to what they feel they are missing out on.
